When you were little, you would hear stories about fantasy places or watch Disney movies, and they were always full of these amazing places that looked like they were full of magic.
It's incredible that there are places here on Earth that look so beautiful and surreal that they might as well be magic. Some of them have even served as inspiration for some famous fairy-tale locations.

Fairy Tale Canyon is in Northeast Kyrgyzstan. It's an anomaly in its surroundings because it's unusually dry. On all sides of it, there are lush forests that dot the mountains, but it is stark, bare, and beautiful.

This is a monastery in Paro Valley, Bhutan called Paro Taktsang, or the Tiger's Nest. It was first built in 1692. It was built around a cave that was said to have been meditated in for three years, three months, three weeks, three days and three hours in the 8th century.

This blossoming beauty is called the Witch Tree, and it blooms in the Netherlands. The story goes that this tree was planted on the grave of a witch instead of a cross.

This stunning place is a cave in New Zeland. The beautiful blue glowing dots you see are actually glow worms that are lighting up the cave. Just because they're bugs doesn't make it less incredible.

This is in the Phraya Nakhon Cave in Thailand. It's a historical site that was built for a king in 1890 who was particularly interested in astronomy, thus the hole at the top of the cave.

This is the Las Lajas Sanctuary in Colombia. It was built in 1754 after a young deaf and mute girl saw a vision of the Virgin Mary on this spot during a terrible storm.
