Walking into a hotel, the last thing a person wants is a dirty room, complete with a flooded bathroom, hair in the sink, and stained towels on the floor.

Thankfully, TripAdvisor reviewers have spoken, and after reading some first-hand accounts, people might think twice about staying at certain hotel chains.

The Best Western Hotel chain is a go-to for many travelers, as they tend to be situated next to airports. The thing is, the ease doesn't mean people should book a stay.

According to one guest, Best Western has some of the grossest bathrooms around. On TripAdvisor, they wrote, "There was something floating in the toilet when we got there."

A swimming pool is a huge draw for many guests, especially during the summertime. Sadly, there is no swimming in the pool at the Econo Lodge, which seems to never have been cleaned, according to one TripAdvisor reviewer.

Breathing in moldy, polluted air is the last thing a hotel guest should worry about. That is if the guest isn't staying at one of the Hyatt Place Hotels. There, the air vents are littered with dust and mold.

One of the worst things is walking into a dirty bathroom, especially if that bathroom isn't in the comfort of your own home. Alas, the Best Value Inn didn't get that memo and, according to TripAdvisor reviewers, has unsanitary bathrooms.

Hiltons Hotels tend to have a pretty good reputation. But not all locations are created equal, as one guest experienced a raging inferno in their room and was not compensated for the awful experience.

On TripAdvisor, the guest wrote, "Arrived at 3 pm Sunday afternoon and noticed the room was warm. I set the AC at 65 and left for a couple of hours. I returned to find the temp at 79 degrees. I called the front desk and complained. The manager called back an hour later and offered to comp the stay. So far, I have been unable to receive the refund."

Unless a guest feels like being in the middle of Making a Murderer, don't stay at the Baymont Inn. One reviewer stated they found bloodstains not only on their sheets but down the walls, too!
