If you're ever dreamt of winning free tickets to the Hawaiian islands, now is your chance. Hawaii's Tourism Department launched "Movers and Shakas" a program that is giving away free round-trip tickets to the island of O'ahu. The offer is good for out-of-state remote workers who would like to reside in Hawai'i and work remotely there. The program was rolled out in an effort to boost the state's economy, which heavily relies on tourism and hospitality and has been hit hard by the 2020 global pandemic.

In order to quality, applicants must currently reside out of state, work remotely, and commit to living in Hawai'i for a minimum of 30 days, if accepted. In a statement, Movers and Shakas program founder Jason Higa said, "Now that many people have the choice to work remotely, there's an opportunity for former local residents to return home and for out-of-state individuals and families to live and work from Hawai'i for a longer period time."

Those who take advantage of the offer just might find themselves falling in love with Hawai'i's gorgeous weather year-round, warm water and tropical lush landscape. The state also has one of the lowest rates of COVID-19 infections, making it safer to travel than some other states. The first round of free tickets begins December 15, 2020!
